Friday was our Frontier Exploration Day for our 1st graders! They departed North Carolina, headed to thee Appalachian Mountains (wilderness road), then went to purchase the Louisiana territory, then went to St. Louis to head down the Missouri River, they visited the Great Plains , met Sacagawea, climbed the Rocky Mountains and then ended at the Pacific Ocean! We wrapped up our Staff Appreciation Week with a SWEET surprise! Staff received a golden ticket with a time to meet their chauffeurs up front. Once up front, staff chose their best superlative, hopped in the party bus, sang carpool karaoke, and then was whisked off to Sweetwater Coffee and Sugar Blossoms to get a drink and a treat! WES the Eagle was even there to greet them. Our staff pours their heart and soul into our school and we wanted them to feel how truly special they are!
